Turkish flight network of 131 countries makes Guinness Book of Records

Turkish Airlines has officially set a Guinness World Records™ title for the “Most Countries Flown to by an Airline,” operating 120 active routes over the past year, 30 ahead the nearest competitor.

The airline, which has held this title since 2012, was recognized during a ceremony at Santiago Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport following its inaugural flight to Chile.

CEO Bilal Ekşi emphasized the company’s commitment to connecting cultures and destinations, highlighting the ongoing expansion of its flight network, which now spans 131 countries, including temporary and inaugural routes.

Talal Omar from Guinness World Records™ praised Turkish Airlines’ dedication to global connectivity, celebrating their role in the aviation industry and affirming the airline’s status as a leading international carrier.
