A week into the Aer Lingus January sale, the airline has revealed that Spain, Portugal and New York dominate the bookings.

In bookings to North America, New York leads as the top city (34pc), followed by Florida (17pc) and the new winter route to Las Vegas (12pc).
The sale, which offers discounted flights, ends on January 20, for travel before the end of May.
