Heathrow Airport reported record traffic in 2024, handling 83.9m passengers and achieving its busiest December to date.

The airport experienced a remarkable milestone with 7m travellers in December, including a record 160,000 on Christmas Day.

CEO Thomas Woldbye highlighted the successful year and announced plans to enhance facilities and value for customers in 2025, projecting a passenger count of 84.2 million.

Additionally, Heathrow aims to increase its Sustainable Aviation Fuel usage to 3pc this year, surpassing the UK government’s mandate for 2025.
