Royal Caribbean Group anticipates that its new Perfect Day destination in Mexico will attract more guests than its private island, CocoCay, which is expected to welcome about 3.5m visitors in 2025.
Perfect Day Mexico, scheduled to open in 2027, will utilize existing infrastructure at the Costa Maya cruise port and aims to become a hub for vessels in the Western Caribbean.
CEO Michael Bayley indicated that upcoming Icon-class ships will support the expected volume at the new location, further enhancing Royal Caribbean’s regional presence.
The company also plans to launch the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau later this year, expecting to attract between 1m and 1.5m guests when fully operational, with additional plans for a second beach club in Cozumel by 2026.
