Cathay Pacific issued a request for proposal (RfP) to Boeing and Airbus for new widebody A350 and B787 aircraft to support its growth plans.

The airline currently has a total of thirty A330-900N, six A350F, and twenty-one B777-9 on order,.

In 2024, Cathay Pacific and HK Express transported over 28m passengers, marking a 30.7pc increase from 2023, with a passenger load factor of 84.8pc.

Deliveries for any future orders are unlikely before 2030, in light of the heavy booking of production slots by both manufacturers.
