The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has published the 2025 edition of key industry manuals, introducing over 350 revisions to enhance cargo and ground handling operations.

Key updates include the Dangerous Goods Regulations, which now list new items like sodium-ion batteries and enhanced safety measures for battery shipping under the expanded Battery Shipping Regulations.

The Airport Handling Manual integrates new policies for contactless travel and updates on handling unruly passengers, while the Compassionate Transportation Manual provides guidelines for repatriating human and animal remains by air.

IATA’s ONE Source platform offers free access to validate aviation capabilities and special handling facilities, supporting safe and efficient operations across stakeholders in the aviation value chain.
