.Wizz Air is currently seeking an engine provider for 177 A321neo aircraft, expecting to finalize the tender negotiations by April 2025, as stated by CEO József Váradi during a quarterly earnings call on February 3, 2025.

The airline operates 141 A321-200NX and six A320-200Ns, facing groundings of approximately 40 aircraft in 2025 due to engine issues and ongoing supply chain challenges related to Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.

Wizz Air has 306 A321neo on order, including forty-seven A321-200NY(XLR)s, with a potential switch to CFM International LEAP-1A engines being considered due to performance concerns with currently used engines.

Despite delays in deliveries and an anticipated shortfall of 75 aircraft by March 2028, Wizz Air plans to expand its fleet from 230 to 305 aircraft by the end of March 2028, adjusting delivery schedules to manage operational pressures.
