Iberia is to rename its loyalty program to Club Iberia Plus on April 1, adding changes to the way Elite Points are earned based on flight expenditure, granting one Elite Point for every €1 spent.

The new structure allows for accumulating Elite Points through flights with Iberia, Aer Lingus, BA, and AA, but different rules apply for oneworld partner airlines, earning a flat rate based on travel distance and class.

Club Iberia Plus offers bonuses based on cabin class and fare type, with up to 600 Elite Points for certain business class routes to Latin America, while BA has introduced a temporary Elite Point Bonus Offer.

New earning possibilities have been introduced, such as earning Elite Points through purchases with non-airline partners, with flight thresholds established for tier status: Plata (3,500), Oro (7,500), and Platino (20,000) points required.
