Stan McCarthy, Chairman of the Board of Ryanair, has been named the Kerry Person of the Year for 2025 by the Kerry Association of New York and will be honored at the association’s annual dinner on March 21.
The 55th annual dinner will serve as a fundraiser for the Kerry Hall Capital Campaign, aiming to support urgent repairs and maintenance of the hall for future generations of the Kerry diaspora.
Eileen Murphy, Committee Chair, expressed delight in recognizing McCarthy, who has a long-standing career with Kerry Group, having joined in 1976 and served as CEO from 2008 until his retirement in 2017.
The Kerry Association of New York has raised over $600,000 in donations over the last decade for charitable causes in Kerry, including €100,000 announced in 2024, while continuing to assist the local community through their center in Yonkers.
