Starting 30 March 2025, Air India will add three weekly flights from Delhi to Heathrow, raising the total to 24 weekly flights, while routes to Gatwick and Melbourne will be suspended.

Flights from Amritsar to Birmingham and Gatwick will change from three to four flights per week, with Ahmedabad to Gatwick increasing from three to five and Delhi to Zurich moving from four to five weekly flights.

Air India will transition its Delhi-Hong Kong service from an A321 to the larger 787 Dreamliner and increase the Delhi-Nairobi route to four flights per week for summer schedules.

The airline’s Boeing 787 retrofitting will start in April, with the first upgraded aircraft returning to service in October 2025, while retrofitting of the legacy 777 fleet has been delayed until early next year due to supplier constraints.
