Daa, the operator of Dublin Airport, has welcomed the judgement from the High Court upholding the construction of a vehicle underpass on the airfield.
The case was initiated by Ryanair, which argued that An Bord Pleanála did not fully consider the Government’s 2023 Climate Action Plan and emission obligations.
The ruling by Mr Justice Richard Humphreys dismissed this challenge on Friday, affirming the need for the underpass.
The underpass will enhance access and safety at Dublin Airport by connecting the Eastern Campus with the West Apron, improving vehicle movement since restrictions followed the opening of the North Runway in August 2022.
