DAA, the operator of Dublin and Cork airports,has presented €500,000 to three Irish charities: A Little Lifetime Foundation, Cliona’s Foundation, and Cork Penny Dinners, following extensive fundraising efforts throughout 2024.
Each charity received €166,666, with the total amount raised through contributions from daa employees and passengers, which daa matched under its Charity Programme initiative.
The contributions will support bereaved families through A Little Lifetime Foundation, assist families with seriously ill children via Cliona’s Foundation, and provide essential supplies through Cork Penny Dinners.
Kenny Jacobs, CEO of daa, expressed pride in the contributions of employees and passengers, and noted that since the launch of the Charity of the Year Programme in 2007, nearly €4.2 million has been raised for various causes.
