A 27-year-old man died at Manchester Airport on February 19 after ingesting cocaine found in his underwear during a drug arrest by Border Force officers.

He displayed unusual behavior at Terminal 2 before being detained and subsequently became unwell while in a holding area.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigating the circumstances of his death and has confirmed that paramedics were called to the scene.

The man was reportedly booked on a flight to Qatar and may have had connecting flights from there before his death at 1:53 PM.
