On February 25, 2025, Lufthansa Group rejected the European Commission’s provisional order to reinstate Condor’s access to feeder traffic at Frankfurt International.

Lufthansa argued that Condor was providing evidence of its own viability with new flight connections beginning in March, including routes to Rome, Milan, Prague, and Paris.

The Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court and the German Federal Supreme Court sided with Lufthansa, which pointed out issues with the Federal Cartel Office’s impartiality in its proceedings.

The Commission’s decision came after Lufthansa terminated a long-standing Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) in December, which Condor welcomed as a positive development for competition.
