Global air cargo demand grew by 3.2pc year-on-year in January 2025 according to IATA, marking 18 months of continuous growth, despite a decline in yields.

Capacity within the air cargo market rose by 6.8pc compared to January 2024, indicating stronger operational capabilities.

The Asia-Pacific region led with a 7.5pc increase in demand, while Latin America surged with an 11.2pc rise in demand growth.

Despite some regions experiencing declines, the overall trends reflect positive influences from trade growth, shrinking fuel costs, and robust e-commerce activities.
