Staff at 11 airports across Germany began striking on March 10, affecting Berlin-Brandenburg, Bremen, Cologne / Bonn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig-Halle, Munich and Stuttgart

The strike involves approximately 23,000 employees demanding an 8 percent wage increase amidst broader public sector industrial action.

Flights scheduled to arrive and depart from these airports will face significant disruptions or cancellations until the strike concludes on March 11.

Passengers are advised to check directly with their airlines for updates on flight status as airlines, rather than airports, are responsible for cancellations.

According to EU law, passengers are entitled to reimbursement for cancelled flights or can opt for re-routing if delays occur, ensuring awareness of their rights is crucial.
