
Fincantieri has successfully delivered the Norwegian Aqua to NCL ahead of next month’s launch, marking the first ship in the expanded Prima Plus Class for Norwegian Cruise Line.
The delivery ceremony at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard included key executives from both companies, including Fincantieri Chairman Biagio Mazzotta, CEO Pierroberto Folgiero, and General Manager of the Merchant Ships Division Luigi Matarazzo, as well as Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, and David J. Herrera, Brand President of Norwegian Cruise Line..
Norwegian Aqua has a gross tonnage of 156,300 and spans approximately 322 meters, making it 10pc larger than the first two Prima Class ships.
The sister ship, Norwegian Luna, will be launched today March 14 and is set to debut in Spring 2026.
