
February 2025 saw record passenger numbers across Heathrow, Manchester, and Stansted airports, with a strong demand for transatlantic services reported.
Heathrow welcomed 5.7m passengers, marking its busiest February to date, alongside a 7pc increase in traffic to the USA and Canada.
Manchester Airport experienced a 5.9pc rise in passenger numbers compared to the previous year, with Stansted seeing a 4.8pc increase and both airports closely matching passenger totals.
Gatwick has announced plans for a £140m extension to its Pier 6, which will create eight new aircraft gates and reduce the need for remote boarding for over half am passengers annually.
Both Gatwick and Heathrow are aiming to enhance airport capacity with new runways, while Manchester is completing a £1.3bn upgrade of its Terminal 2 by the end of 2025.
Belfast International passenger numbers were up 2pc in January to 264,344, Belfast City up 6pc to 157,434 and Derry up 75pc to 14,395
