Hamad International Airport has opened concourses D and E to accommodate the high passenger demand during Eid celebrations.

The new concourses increase the airport’s capacity by 40pc, adding 17 new aircraft ‘contact’ gates to handle an additional 13 million passengers each year.

Enhanced technology features include self-boarding gates and smart document verification systems to streamline passenger flow.

Qatar Duty Free is expanding its retail space by 2,700 sqm, introducing new food and beverage outlets alongside luxury shopping facilities.

As a hub for Qatar Airways, the airport aims to improve its operational resilience and support Qatar’s economic growth in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
