Korean Air says it is progressing its partnership with Boeing and GE Aerospace to ensure timely delivery of next-generation 787-10 and 777-9 aircraft.

The airline aims to further develop its Memorandum of Understanding with Boeing established at the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow.

The agreement includes firm orders for 20 Boeing 777-9 and 20 Boeing 787-10 aircraft, with delivery scheduled through 2033 and options for 10 additional planes.

Korean Air will finalise contracts for eight GE Aerospace spare engines and a comprehensive maintenance agreement for GE9X engines used in the 777-9 fleet.

The airline operates six 787-10 Dreamliners and has outstanding orders for 35 A321neo aircraft and 31 A350 family aircraft alongside its existing Boeing orders.
