Ryanair expects ticket prices to rise by 4-6pc this year, only partially recovering from the 8pc decline last year. Michael O’Leary shared that overall.

Mr O’Leary is confident of receiving the remaining 29 aircraft on the order from Boeing by March 2026, which will allow us to make up the backlog in increased traffic in the summer of 2026, rather than 2025.

Speaking on the margins of the A4E conference in Brussels, Mr O’Leary said: “We’re operating on the basis this year that pricing will rise by between 4-6pc and having fallen by 8pc last year. So pricing will be about 2pc less than it was two years ago.”

“We are working with Boeing to accelerate deliveries. Although B737 production is recovering from the Boeing strike at the end of 2024, we do not expect sufficient units to arrive by the summer of 2025.”
