Transport minister Darragh O’Brien has said he is continuing to explore options to address the passenger cap at Dublin airport but has not finalised any decisions yet.

He said the recent judgement extending lifting the freeze on passenger numbers into winter  as it provides breathing room.

Mr O’Brien said, as a resident, is keen on enhancing how the airport interacts with local communities while pushing for expanded noise insulation measures.

He said environmental emission targets are a key considerations that must be taken into account, particularly in conjunction with the responsibilities of the environment minister.
