Denroy, a manufacturer based in County Down, has secured a contract with Boeing to supply component parts for commercial aeroplanes.
The deal enables Denroy to provide 16 different components for Boeing’s 737, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft programmes, which strengthens its position in the aerospace sector.
Announcing the deal, Denroy’s chief executive, Kevin McNamee, expressed concerns over the potential impact of US tariffs on both exports and imports related to the company’s products.
The company plans to recruit talent in engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance as part of its expansion following this contract.
Denroy reported revenue of £23.7m for 2023 and currently employs 240 people in Bangor, showing its contribution to economic growth within the aerospace industry.
Kevin McNamee CEO of Denroy Group, shared: “As an approved Boeing supplier, we are keen to demonstrate how our ability to meet global demand can support other major aerospace manufacturers. By continuing to invest in technology, workforce development, and operational excellence, we are well-positioned to establish ourselves as a key player in global aerospace manufacturing.”
