Wizz Air UK has encountered delays with the A321-200NY(XLR) due to what the airline describes as “an unforeseen issue” during delivery.

The airline planned to commence its inaugural A321XLR revenue flight on March 31 on the London Gatwick – Jeddah International route before postponing it to April 10.

Expansion efforts continue with the launch of flights from London to Riyadh, utilising A321-200NX aircraft.

The A321XLR set to enter service will become G-XLRA, representing the first A321XLR in Wizz Air UK’s fleet.

Wizz Air Holdings maintains an order of forty-seven A321XLRs distributed across its four AOCs, including Wizz Air Malta and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.
