
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was the busiest in the world with 108m passengers in 2024, an increase from 104m in 2023, according to date from Airports Council International
Dubai International ranked second with 92m passengers, while Dallas Fort Worth International followed closely in third with just under 88m.
Heathrow Airport fell to fifth place after being surpassed by Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, which accommodated nearly 86m passengers last year.
ACI recorded over 9.5bn global passengers for 2024, marking a rise of 3.8pc from pre-pandemic levels in 2019 and a 9pc increase from 2023.
