Graeme McQueen, Media Relations Manager, at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport shared: “Easter is always a busy weekend at Dublin Airport as people and families avail of the long bank holiday weekend to head overseas on city breaks, cultural trips and to reunite with loved ones all over the world. This weekend will be no different with upwards of 110,000 passengers set to pass through the airport every day between Friday and Monday. We’ll also be seeing lots of tourists coming to Ireland to enjoy the Easter break.

“The Dublin Airport team is ready to welcome everyone travelling over the coming days and we’d encourage all departing passengers to set themselves up for a smooth start to their trip by getting to the airport in plenty of time and preparing in advance for security screening. Our security times are consistently quick, with a processing time of under 20 minutes the norm when going through our terminals. By following our travel advice and getting to the airport in good time, not only will passengers be able to cope with any unexpected mishaps or delays, but they will also give themselves time to enjoy all that’s on offer in the terminals, from great food and drink options and duty-free shopping, to a bit of plane-spotting or the free kids’ play areas that are located at all departure gates. We look forward to welcoming everyone travelling over the coming days,”

Mary Considine, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group, shared: “Our teams across the airport will be on hand to ensure a smooth experience for over 123,000 passengers we expect to see through Shannon over the Easter break. We are looking forward to welcoming overseas visitors, as they bring a welcome boost in tourism across the region.

“Traditionally the Easter break kick-starts the summer season to our popular destinations and it’s great to see the excitement of families and friends travelling overseas for a sun or city break. Facilities such as our US Preclearance and the airport sensory room, along with the short distance from our car parks to the terminal building, are making Shannon a favourite airport with people from all over Ireland. We wish all our passengers a safe and enjoyable Easter.”
