Journalist Tom Lyons has launched an Aer Dogs podcast as a follow up to his book which chronicles the journey of a pioneering group that made affordable air travel accessible across multiple continents.
The book traced the story of Tony Ryan, who was instrumental in developing the leasing firm GPA and establishing Ryanair and Declan Ryan, his son, who currently leads Irelandia, expanding Ryanair’s low-cost model to several airlines such as Tiger Airways and VivaAerobus. The podcast also interviewed Joe Gilmore and Conor McCarthy. Declan Ryan shared: “I wanted to tell the story of how we brought these airlines to life and worked tirelessly to keep them afloat.”
