Etihad Airways plans to launch a four-times-weekly flight service between Abu Dhabi and Charlotte starting on 4 May, 2026, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
This marks Etihad’s first nonstop flights to Charlotte, North Carolina, and the sixth US destination for the airline, joining cities like New York and Chicago.
Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad, described Charlotte as a strategic addition to their U.S. network, aiming to connect more travellers to Abu Dhabi and other destinations.
The airline will also be expanding its global offerings with ten new routes, which include Atlanta, Hanoi, and Hong Kong.
Earlier in the year, Etihad opened a new airside of US Preclearance lounge at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International, similar to 51st and Green in Dublin.
