
Air Niugini has placed a firm order for two additional Airbus A220-100 aircraft on 28 May 2025, following an initial order of six aircraft in 2023.
Lease agreements were established for three A220-300s from US-based lessor Azorra, enhancing the airline’s fleet diversity.
Airbus had received over 900 orders for the A220 from over 30 customers with more than 410 units already delivered by April 2025.

Gary Seddon shared that “the A220 is set to form the backbone of our domestic and regional fleet and will support economic development in Papua New Guinea.”
