Oman Air has become the 15th member of the oneworld alliance. The airline sought to join oneworld for over a year, with reports beginning in 2021 and confirmation in June 2022.
It follows the inclusion of Fiji Airways as a full alliance member earlier in 2023. Oman Air will introduce a nonstop service between Muscat and Amsterdam starting 1 July. The carrier serves 42 destinations across 22 countries and territories.
A written statement shared: “We are proud to welcome Oman Air to the oneworld family. Oman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning product and service to the alliance. This partnership opens up exciting new connections for our customers, particularly across the Gulf and South Asia.”
