Norse Atlantic Airways is launching flights from Manchester Airport to Bangkok, making it the only English city outside of London to offer this service.

The flights will begin on 26 November 2025 and will operate until March 2026.

Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be used for these flights, departing Manchester every Wednesday at 2330.

Manchester Airport’s managing director, Chris Woodroofe, mentioned the importance of this direct route for travellers from the North.

The announcement follows IndiGo’s launch of a thrice-weekly service from Manchester to Mumbai, marking another expansion of direct flight options from the region.

The airport shared in a statement: “Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to connect the North to the world. Many people from the region travel there every year but until now they have had to book connecting flights. We don’t just follow demand – we unlock it.”
