
Royal Air Maroc is engaged in discussions with Embraer for an order of the E2 jet family as part of its 2023-2037 strategy.The airline plans to increase its fleet from 50 to 200 aircraft, targeting fleet renewal in three size categories.
Royal Air Maroc is reportedly close to securing deals with Boeing for B737 MAX and B787 jets and with Airbus for twenty A220 jets. The Moroccan government has committed to increasing its capital share in Royal Air Maroc to bolster its investment plan and enhance competitiveness.
The airline aims to develop new international routes and expand domestic connectivity with 46 new internal routes, with plans to elevate Casablanca as a major international hub.
Royal Air Maroc shared, “We are engaged in discussions with Embraer for an order of the E2 jet family as part of our 2023-2037 strategy. We are planning to develop new international destinations and expand domestic connectivity with 46 new internal routes. Our objective is to evolve Casablanca into becoming an international hub to rank among the top three in Africa regarding air traffic and connectivity.”
