ITA Airways plans to expand its long-haul network from Rome Fiumicino through 2030, targeting new routes to multiple continents.

The carrier will add one new widebody aircraft annually starting in 2026, eventually averaging 100 new-generation aircraft by 2030. The fleet includes diverse models, with plans to phase out older-generation Airbus A320ceo and A330ceo aircraft.

New services are under consideration to key international markets such as Mumbai, Singapore, and Osaka, alongside routes to Lagos and Abidjan for Africa. ITA aims to join the Star Alliance by 2026 and enter the transatlantic A++ joint venture with Lufthansa and United Airlines.

Corriere della Sera shared, “The carrier is reportedly considering launching new services to Mumbai International, Singapore Changi, Osaka Kansai.”
