Further details have been revealed of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, to place on 23rd August 2025 at Aviva Stadium, featuring Kansas State University and Iowa State University.
The event is expected to generate over €130m for the local economy, attracting up to 22,000 U.S. fans.
Both universities will bring large cheer and band teams, enhancing the celebratory experience leading up to the game. The game is billed as the first Big 12 Conference matchup in Ireland, with extensive plans for tailgating and community events in Dublin.
Minister Peter Burke shared, “I am thrilled to see the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Ireland again this August with Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and Enterprise Ireland playing key roles in the event.”
