Wizz Air will resume flights to Tel Aviv from today, August 8, more than a month earlier than initially scheduled, amidst reports that the Israeli CAA is opposed to the airline opening a base there.

The airline’s decision follows strong recovery in air travel demand from Israeli and international passengers. Ten of the 24 Tel Aviv-bound routes will now operate earlier, connecting Israel with cities such as London, Milan, and Bucharest.

Wizz Air plans to offer over 31,000 seats to Tel Aviv, with fares starting at 59.99 EUR / 169 ILS, available for booking online and via the app. The remainder of the Tel Aviv routes will commence as originally planned on 15 September.

András Radó shared, “We’re back — and we’re back with purpose. Our early return to Tel Aviv demonstrates our commitment to our loyal Israeli passengers. We expect to carry 75m passengers by 2025.”
