
China Southern Airlines, Air China, and China Eastern Airlines plan to each order approximately 100 aircraft from Airbus.
Xiamen Airlines and Sichuan Airlines are targeting orders of around 35 aircraft each. The potential Airbus orders could surpass previous records, significantly exceeding the 292 A320 family aircraft ordered in July 2022.
Boeing is reportedly close to securing a separate 500 aircraft order from Chinese airlines amid ongoing trade discussions. Chinese airlines typically do not disclose their orders publicly until aircraft delivery, obscuring their actual backlog.
