Korean Air has revealed its intent to purchase 103 next-generation aircraft from Boeing, consisting of various models including the 777-9 and 787-10.
The total investment is valued at approximately €46.8 billion, encompassing aircraft costs and a 20-year engine maintenance service contract. Delivery of all aircraft is scheduled in phases, concluding by the end of 2030.
The acquisition supports Korean Air’s long-term growth strategy post-integration with Asiana Airlines. Korean Air’s operations will standardise around five aircraft families, strengthening its fleet strategy.
