Shannon Airport has partnered with Sharlene Mawdsley, world-class 400m runner and Irish Olympian, as their ambassador for the next three years.
Mawdsley, a native of Tipperary, is known for her record-breaking performances, including earning gold and silver medals in European relays. Her appointment aligns with Shannon Airport’s support for Irish sporting talent on the international stage as she prepares for the 2028 Olympics.
Vanessa McTigue, Commercial Director of The Shannon Airport Group, said Ms Mawdsley highlighted the importance of teamwork and ambition, stating that Shannon Airport has been integral to her athletic journey.
