TAP Air Portugal has introduced Bluetooth connectivity to its inflight entertainment systems in long-haul economy cabins.
This technology allows passengers to use their Bluetooth-enabled headphones with the IFE screens on 19 Airbus A330-900neo and 13 Airbus A321-200LR aircraft. The upgrade aims to enhance passenger experience by providing better sound quality and comfort during viewing.
The airline has also expanded its partnership with Turkish Airlines and opened a new lounge at Miami International Airport in collaboration with Avianca. The Miami lounge, accessible to Avianca, TAP, Priority Pass, and Star Alliance travellers, includes amenities such as a self-service buffet, showers, and a business centre.
TAP Air Portugal shared in a written statement, “The upgrade is set to improve passenger experience, allowing for better sound quality and a more comfortable viewing experience. The technology allows passengers to pair their own personal Bluetooth-enabled headphones to their IFE screen.”
