Krakow Airport in Poland suspended operations after an AirExplore Boeing 737-800 overran the runway 25 during landing from Antalya amid heavy rain.

The aircraft, operating for Enter Air with registration OM-FEX, carried 190 passengers and crew who all disembarked safely without injuries. The airport closed until at least 8:00 p.m. UTC, causing cancellations and diversions for flights from airlines including LOT Polish Airlines and Lufthansa.

Airport staff are clearing the aircraft and conducting safety checks before resuming operations. Enter Air have confirmed future flights on the route will use its own fleet.

Yesterday’s Dublin to Krakow flight diverted to Katowice. Social media posts show passengers waited five hours before the bus arrived at 01.30 to take on a three hour journey.
