AerCap has delivered the first two Boeing 777-300ERSF passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft to Kalitta Air on 12 and 13 September 2025 in Oscoda, Michigan.

The aircraft, part of a seven-aircraft order, are certified by the CAAI and FAA to operate at a 100-tonne payload capacity. Kalitta Air, the launch operator, plans to begin revenue operations in early October 2025, replacing its ageing Boeing 747 freighter fleet.

The 777-300ERSF offers 811 m³ capacity and reduces CO2 emissions by 20pc compared to in-service widebody freighters. The delivery marks a milestone in the 2019 agreement to establish the Boeing 777-300ER conversion programme.

Gus Kelly shared: “We are delighted to deliver the very first 777-300ERSF to our unwavering partner Kalitta Air.”

Connie Kalitta shared: “This aircraft will give us greater range and payload capability to meet growing demand in the global cargo market.”
