The development includes ancillary aircraft storage, new vehicular access, staff parking, secure bicycle stands, screened plant areas, refuse store, roof-level photovoltaic array, substation, signage, HGV facilities and landscaping.

Founded in 2010 by Ken Fitzgibbon, the company handles buying, selling, leasing of commercial aircraft and engines, plus sales, exchanges and pooling of parts.

EirTrade has operated from a 7.6-acre site beside the airport for 15 years; a similar 2021 approval with 22 conditions expires on 24 March 2026.
