The Westminster government has revealed its Cruise Growth Plan during London Shipping Week to support the cruise industry’s growth.

Cruise industry data suggests the industry contributes €6.8bn annually to the economy and supports 60,000 jobs. The plan focuses on workforce development, safety, security, accessibility, and sustainable practices.

Over 50 ports in the jurisdiction, including Belfast and Derry, are visited by cruise ships annually, with two million residents taking cruises yearly.

The London Chamber of Shipping supports the plan to enhance collaboration and drive private investment.
