Lufthansa has revealed a centennial livery on a Boeing 787-9 (D-ABPU) to mark its 100th anniversary in 2026, featuring a white crane and “1926 / 2026” branding.
The aircraft, designed by Otto Firle in 1918, will be delivered in November 2025 and enter service in December.
The livery includes a 100 logo on the fuselage and underside, celebrating Lufthansa’s history and employee commitment.
Lufthansa plans to update all long-haul flight services, introducing new meal choices, tableware, and flexible business class meal timings for 2026.
Delta and KLM also celebrated centennials, with Delta unveiling a livery featuring its “widget” KLM is recognised as the oldest operating airline, in business since 1919. Aer Lingus will be 90 next year.
