
Afghanistan’s decision to switch off gate internet has disrupted flight servies, as wel as brining a halt to mobile, broadband, and satellite television services.
Nine flights scheduled to depart from or arrive at Kabul International Airport on 30 September 2025 were cancelled. Some flights operated as planned despite the disruptions, according to Flightradar24.
The internet shutdown affected communication and operational systems critical to aviation. The decision has been condemned by aviation groups.
