Ryanair revealed its September ATC Delays League, showing France, Spain, Germany, England and Greece caused 57,109, 34,145, 16,132, 7,429 and 6,738 flight delays respectively in 2025.

Over 30m passengers faced delays due to mismanagement and staffing shortages, with Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark recording the fewest delays.

France delayed 10.3m Ryanair passengers, followed by Spain with 6.1m, Germany with 2.9m, England with 1.3m and Greece with 1.2m.

Ryanair urges EU President Ursula von der Leyen to mandate full ATC staffing for morning flights and protect overflights during strikes to reduce disruptions.

The airline’s webpage invites passengers to demand reforms, citing efficient ATC operations in Bulgaria (112 delays) and Slovakia (460 delays) as models.
