
Cathay Pacific has confirmed that Status Points will no longer reset to zero after upgrades, enabling multiple status levels in one year.
The membership cycle will standardise to 1 January to 31 December from 2027, with a transition period in 2026.
Gold members and above can carry over excess Status Points up to 50pc of the required amount for the attained status.
A new Diamond Exec tier requires 2,400 Status Points in a year, offering a dedicated relationship manager and bespoke privileges.
Members with five cumulative Diamond years can redeem complimentary Diamond years for every 6,000 lifetime Status Points.
The changes are effective from 1 January 2027 with a transition period starting 1 January 2026.

A new Diamond Exec tier for members earning at least 2,400 Status Points in a year includes a dedicated relationship manager and bespoke privileges. Members maintaining Diamond status for five cumulative years can redeem complimentary Diamond years for every 6,000 lifetime Status Points, with no expiry or limit. Current 2025 status and benefits remain unchanged until expiry.
