
County Armagh’s Thompson Aero Seating has established a Dublin corporate entity to help service an order book that has grown by 88.7pc in the past twelve months.
Thompson Aero Seating’s order book was worth €960m at the end of last year, up by 88.7pc from €586m a year earlier. That order book extends over the next five years.
The company reported pre-tax profit of €14m, EBITDA earnings of €33m and now plans a 30pc capacity increase to meet the growing order base.
County Armagh’s largest employer, the Portadown based enterprise, Chinese-owned by Avic, produces Vantage seats for Virgin Atlantic, Aer Lingus, Delta among others.
Thompson Aero employs over 700 and analysts say that risks facing the proudly expanding company include matching capacity to orders.
