Airbus, Leonardo and Thales have signed an MoU to combine space activities into new company.
Entity includes Airbus Space Systems, Leonardo Space Division and Thales stakes in Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio. The new company targets 2027 operation with 25,000 employees and €6.5bn annual turnover.
Ownership shares break down at Airbus 35pc, Leonardo and Thales 32.5pc each. The project expects mid triple-digitm euro annual synergies five years after closing.
