Wizz Air negotiates with Airbus to defer 100 aircraft deliveries

Wizz Air is in negotiation with Airbus to defer around 100 aircraft deliveries due before 2030 to the next decade.

The airline holds an order book of 235 A321-200NX and 42 A321-200NY(XLR) with recent conversions from XLR variants. Talks aare near conclusion according to CFO Ian Malin at a Singapore investor event amid operational restructuring.

Wizz Air took six A321neo family aircraft since September across its Hungarian, Malta, and English units.

The airline posted €213.9m net profit for the year ended 31 March 2025 with a 21.5pc EBITDA margin.
